"I am an artist; therefore I art!"

Some of my work over the years has been nontechnical. I have drawn cartoons, caricatures, and illustrations and taken photographs for promotional and editorial purposes, as mementos given to clients and coworkers, and just for fun. I served as a photographer and illustrator in the Army headquarters press corps in Viet Nam. In that capacity, I drew cartoons for the Army's largest newspaper, which entitled me to call myself a "Combat Cartoonist." I also did a series of paintings for the center spread of an Army magazine, and when I returned home to the 'States, the Smithsonian Institution requested a few of them. Years later, I made a series of event fliers for a country club. An assortment of art and photography samples is exhibited here.
